My new collection 'Short Stories Tall Tales' is now live on Amazon Kindle:
There are quite a few new and not-previously-available stories in various fields and genres though science fiction and horror/mystery are probably the prevalent subject matters. Please take a look if you like to read interesting tales of the bizarre, the fatalistic and the weird. There will be more Sputnik Digital publications soon, as trailed on the last two pages of this new book.

Dacorum Radio Interview on Leslie Tate's Show - The Full Broadcast

A couple of weeks ago writer and broadcaster Leslie Tate graciously asked if I'd appear on his evening Dacorum Radio show in a double bill with the excellent Portuguese actress Marta Carvalho who was great company and obviously much more interesting than myself. I had a great time chatting with Leslie, and Marta, about writing, inspiration (or lack of), ideas and the process of creating a story, or at least the way I do it. I chose four favourite music tracks, designed to illustrate the lost art of tale-telling arcs in rock lyrics, but due to my rabbiting on only two of them got played; Procol Harum and XTC. Interview on Radio Dacorum's Wednesday Live with Leslie Tate

I will be making an appearance on local writer Leslie Tate's 'Wednesday Live' talk and music show on Wednesday 29th January from 8 - 9pm. Or at least my voice will. We will be discussing writing science and speculative fiction, what's involved in getting your book conceptualised, written and hopefully published and other random stuff about writing. Leslie himself is an an accomplished author so it should prove an interesting exchange of experiences and approaches to the subject. Please tune in, if you can, to Radio Dacorum for a listen. I've also chosen four of my favourite music tracks (10cc, Steely Dan, XTC and Procol Harum actually) and will hopefully get a chance to rattle on about why I think they're a particularly fab example of the art of writing 70's story-arc rock lyrics which we unfortunately seem to have lost these days.
